we need to increase technology in Black and urban  communities if our kids are to  compete. Tech cluster bring a community of support and resources! as witnessed in Dumbo and Williamsburg. However it is especially important in areas where women are the heads of households and Entrepreneurs!

Take a good look at the map above. Driving through these these areas will show the impact of technology in a broader sense!

We’re looking  for space and in one of our  first  private pitch  sessions in our friends and family  circle we were asked  what about local coffee houses and available space. Unfortunately I was able to detail  just how unwelcome  and unfamiliar with the coworking   movement they were! Especially sad because so many  are  failing and as you pass by  you see many  empty establishments!

Last week I observed a local Business Try to come to terms with a shifting user base; Specifically  a coffee house that was attracting students and freelancers and the newest groups startups,   the heart  coworking community!  They tried covering all their outlets . The resulting drop saw them  this weekend,  opening up a couple!

Startbucks has led with an open and welcoming  policy, but many have set up  great spaces better suited to this type of business persona!
