I am Bonnie Sandy, and I’m developing a virtual incubator that helps locals leverage emerging tech & Fashiontech to build global Creative Fashion, Art , Craft , businesses & startups!

I am an advocate for diversity in the technology circles. with special  focus on  the creative cottage sector. By that I explore how emerging technology and new media tools and protocols can be integrated in what we do - Culture ; how it can be leveraged for communications within Community;  and how technology, directly and indirectly, affects how not only leverage our natural resources to earn income, but also how we build businesses that address identified needs   - Commerce.

I am an expert in the managing the transitions of local creative entrepreneurs of diverse ethnic backgrounds from traditional to digital and new start-up models.  That expertise gained over 10 years In teh field working with  local  creative businesses from across the globe, "testing theory through execution". That opportunity to  observe and later challenge existing  cultural "norms" has led to effective solutions now being packaged into product services, program, events, merchandise and protocols.

I am also a founder of www.NYukco.com a pre-startup that has emerged as a "business fertility" virtual clinic that will supports offline incubators and accelerators. Both my community and personal efforts have led me to seek and work with other #Blacks in the technology field, #blackintech, who not only  seek to address their own needs but  to organize and advocate for others. #Blacktechleaders

The daughter of a computer programmer who ensured I was certified in the COBOL language  by age 19, and a dressmaker mother who started my early training in local fashion production and influenced formal design training at Fashion Institue of Technology. one could say that #Fashiontech is in my  DNA.
